Baby You’re the Best Part of My Day
All cheeziness aside for quoting song lyrics (again)I was on a poetry kick today and I discovered some interesting things.
1.Our true feelings show through our words even when trying to hide or protect them.
2.Poetry can validate our thoughts and feelings.
3.Nothing I say in a poem is logical.

Blushing Beauty 83
She listens but that doesn’t mean she follows. She hears but that doesn’t mean she does. She writes like she talks and she talks like she writes and then some. She has few passions but her loyalties run deep. Not one to wear her heart on her sleeve instead she plays the role of the court jester. Quick to make you laugh even quicker to critique, but all in good nature because her heart is true and her blood is warm.. She writes what is t rue and she writes what is real, sometimes to the point that it will chill you. Don’t worry it will pass, words out of her own mouth. Age: Chronologically, 24, mentally, some days much older, some days I come in at about 6 1/2
Occupation: Student at large (cultural studies/journalism)
Dreams/ambitions: to be happy doing whatever I’m doing and to be able to support myself doing it and not be miserable like most of America
Best advice that you didn’t take: “stay away from boys they’ll only get you in trouble” from my late, wonderful, grandmother, so true and I didn’t listen………..
