Wish Once, Twice, Or Just Plain Make It Happen

You say it like you don’t mean and you mean it like you won’t ever say it. Some days are just like that. Some days you hold the world in your hand and others you’re scrambling to pick up the pieces as if they were straws. They say love the one you’re with. What if you’re with no one? What if you can’t stand the one you’re with? Plus isn’t that plain old settling anyways? What if the one you want is out there and you just can’t reach them? Are you wishing on a star or simply just wishing your life away?

Strike Three and Where Do You Go Now?

It’s eighty degrees here and climbing. It’s eighty degrees in Chicago in October which seems like a conundrum. The Cubs are playing post season ball which also seems like a conundrum. Walking down the street today it felt more like June than October and it brought me back to a different place. Everyone is alive with baseball fever for the beloved Cubs and the spirit of the city of Chicago is alive. You can learn a lot from baseball and even integrate it into your personal life. One of my favorite quotes ever came from a baseball player. Christy Matheson is quoted as saying “You can learn little from victory, but you can learn everything from defeat,” true? I think so.
