Top Ten Reasons Birthdays Are Overrated

Me, anxiously awaiting the passing of my birthday………..

1. Present value decreases as your age increases

2. Your family begins to pick restaurants they like more than ones you like because they know you’re only going for the free alcohol

3. One can only hear their mother sing”Happy Birthday” so many times before the ignore button on the phone gets implemented

4. The cards you used to love getting from relatives because of the cash value now only hold the value of making paper confetti for next year’s bash

5. Your friend’s can’t muster up the energy to go out with you because they’re too wrapped up in that guy or girl or Harry Potter (you get the idea)

6. Buying that new outfit cost you more than what you received

7. You have nowhere to wear that new outfit except Ponderosa

8. You start to receive practical gifts

9. You realize you are buying all your birthday presents because no one knows what you want and they don’t ask

10. Birthdays suck because ultimately you’re getting older and it forces you to think about it and tries to mask it behind cake, sneaky lil devil!
